Building a Nationwide Movement for Local Impact
The Milwaukee Youth Sports Alliance is proud to be a member organization of the Coalitions for Sport Equity, a nationwide network of coalitions dedicated to reshaping the youth sports landscape from the ground up. By connecting local efforts across the country, CSE works to ensure that all young people—regardless of their background or zip code—have access to high-quality, transformative sports experiences.
Closing the Equity Gap
As part of this collective, MYSA collaborates with other regional leaders to address the systemic barriers that prevent children from playing sports and keep local organizations from accessing necessary resources. The Coalitions for Sport Equity focuses on:
Systemic Change: Moving beyond individual programs to fix the fragmented systems that limit youth participation.
Knowledge Sharing: Learning from a national network of "Sport for Good" cities to implement best practices right here in Milwaukee.
Collective Power: Organizing local communities to advocate for the resources and infrastructure our youth deserve.
Research and Innovation
Through our membership with CSE, MYSA stays at the forefront of the latest research regarding effective collective action and youth development. This partnership allows us to leverage national data and insights to better serve our Milwaukee student-athletes and families.
