Morning Session - Sports-Based Youth Development 101

While sport is uniquely suited to help young people learn life skills that can help them be successful on and off the field, it’s not a given that all young people will have a positive experience in sports activities. This interactive workshop will explore the ways in which youth sports coaches can create safe environments that maximize learning. This workshop session will provide turn-key strategies for turning every sport experience into a positive learning opportunity.
Length: 2 hours

Afternoon Session - Where Are All the Girls?

Do you struggle to engage girls in co-ed sporting activities? During this session participants will explore the specific challenges and opportunities of working with girls and provide tools to effectively engage more girls in the game. This interactive session focuses on creating strategies for engagement, safe environments to support taking risks, building meaningful peer relationships, and introducing ways to help stoke a long-term commitment to making healthy choices.
Length: 2 hours
